Kodak's Ongoing Business      10th November, 2011

There has been much discussion and speculation in both the industry and business press about the financial position of Kodak. I am not in a position to discuss the financial structure of the company, but having recently spent a number of days with Kodak at various locations, as well as speaking with many Kodak customers I feel I can comment on the strength of the Kodak's businesses for the future in the graphic communications markets. Kodak has a very strong business structure to go forward to profitable growth from next year. My comments can be seen on a video in the video section of this site.

My Final Year      4th November, 2011

I have decided that 2012 will be my final year of consultancy and writing in this industry. I plan that drupa 2012 will be my final major event to be covered, and I will finish in October 2012.

I entered this industry in September 1961 and started working in the the computerization of the industry in December 1968. I think that I have been working continuously in this area of the business longer than anyone, but now I feel that more than 50 years in the industry and over 40 years on the bleeding edge in the computerization of the industry is long enough.

I look forward to this final year working in a fabulous industry that still has a great future. I will no doubt have lots more to say during this coming year, and will try to do a better job in keeping this web site up to date.
